I have been managing this site since March 1996, when I first got introduced to the web. The site has gone through many iterations and has grown as my life and family grew. But the gist of my site has stayed the same and I still edit it using a basic vi editor.
March 1996 was also the year I got married and have had two lovely kids since then. Both of them keep us on our toes. Click on the Family button on the top of the screen to see the other members of my family.
I work as a Projects Manager with fourteen years of experience in the software industry and am currently working as a Senior Information Management Officer / Project Manager in the International Monetary Fund . I have previously worked for MOREnet as a Database Coordinator/ Senior Analyst, and for Silverline Industries Limited , India .
I received my graduate degree in Masters of Science, Computer Science from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, CSEE Department. Partial course work for this degree was done at University of Missouri-Columbia and Purdue University. I received my undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Engineering(Computers) from University of Bombay/Mumbai, India. Copies of my Vita are available.
I have managed database systems and designed applications in various domains including CRM/Helpdesks systems, Web Content Management systems, Facilities systems - CIFM, CMMS , IT systems- Network systems, change management systems etc. My areas of interest include Data Warehousing and Data Mining, Relational Databases and Client Server Tools like Oracle, Remedy, Uniface etc. I have also worked with Case Tools like Oracle Designer 2000 x and Silverrun and with data mining tools like SGI's MineSet. I am conversant with Internet Technologies having worked with Webservices, Oracle Webserver, Apache Web Server,JAVA, VBScript, JavaScript and ActiveX.
