Course information:
For Fall 2011 I am teaching

CMSC 313Assembly Language and Computer Organization
This course teaches C programming, assembly language programming
and low-level programming concepts

CMSC 341Data Structures
This course teaches data structure design, implementation, and performance
analysis. This course uses Java for progamming assignments.
In the past I have taught
I live in Ellicott City (near Turf Valley golf course) with
my wife of 29(!) years and our two kids -- Michael (20) is studying
to be a paramedic at HCC and Laura(18) is a freshman at Penn State, my alma mater.
I also have a 32-year old daughter who lives in York, Pa with her son and daughter.
My professional experience is in the area of real-time transaction
processing. More specifically, I have programmed systems that operate
(horse) race tracks, state lotteries, and welfare benefits systems.
I have 17+ years in the software developement area including both
programming and management experience.
Personal Interests and hobbies include
- Learning to play poker (Texas Hold'em)
- Raising two children
- Enjoying my granddaughter and grandson
