CMSC 202 Computer Science II
This course teaches object-oriented programming (OOP) using Java.
In the past I have taught
I live in Ellicott City (near Turf Valley golf course) with
my wife of 26(!) years and our two kids -- Michael (18) is a freshman
at Minnesota State University and Laura(15) is a sophomore at
at Marriott's Ridge High School.
I have a married 30-year old daughter who lives
in York, Pa with her husband, son, and daughter.
My professional experience is in the area of real-time transaction
processing. More specifically, I have programmed systems that operate
(horse) race tracks, state lotteries, and welfare benefits systems.
I have 17+ years in the software developement area including both
programming and management experience.
Personal Interests and hobbies include
- Learning to play poker (Texas Hold'em)
- Raising two young children
- Enjoying my granddaughter and grandson
