Fleet 10 is hosting the Catalina-22 East Coast National Cruise for 2000. It's on Chesapeake Bay June 24 - July 1 2000. This year's cruise will explore the Wye River system and other Bay locations.


Here's the schedule for the week:

Saturday, June 24, 2000
Launch from Holiday Hill Marina, Whitemarsh Creek, Rhode River. Catered welcoming picnic

Sunday June 25, 2000
Sail to Crab Alley Creek, Eastern Bay, (about 19.5 nm) for overnight anchorage.

Monday June 26, 2000
Sail to Granary Creek on Wye East River (about 11.7 nm). Overnight anchorage near Wye River lodge. Catered crab feast at the lodge.

Tuesday June 27, 2000
Sail to main branch of the Wye River via Shaw Bay, anchor at DeCoursey cove (about 7.8 nm).

Wednesday June 28, 2000
Sail to St. Michaels. Overnight at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Pot-luck picnic at Museum.

Thursday June 29, 2000
Sail to overnight anchorage in Kirwan Creek just South of Kent Narrows (about 11.7 nm).

Friday June 30, 2000
Sail to Rock Hall (about 13.6 miles). Overnight at Sailing Emporium marina, a nice place with swimming pool, close to Rock Hall amenities. Catered farewell picnic.

Saturday July 1, 1999
Break up Cruise, sail back to Holiday Hill (about 24.0 nm).

After-cruise Activities

Sailing Emporium Marina is a good jumping off point for sailors extending their cruise through the weekend. It is close to Annapolis, Baltimore, and the upper Bay.
