ARPA via a subcontract from Unisys, 1993-1995

ABSTRACT

This ARPA-sponsored project which also involves groups at Unisys, the State University of New York at Buffalo, and the University of Maryland College Park and is a part of the ARPA Intelligent Information Integration program. The research performed under this effort addresses technical issues in using intelligent agent architectures for the integration of large scale information systems. The major areas of research will contribute to this effort including the contribution to the Knowledge Query and Manipulation Language (KQML) specification under the ARPA-sponsored Knowledge Sharing Initiative, the developing an efficient implementation of KQML using a cache-based implementation with a scalable communication facilitator implementation.
