WISE 2024 - Calls for Workshops

The 25th International conference on Web Information Systems Engineering (WISE 2024):

The year 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the International conference on Web Information Systems Engineering which will be held at Qatar University (in Doha, Qatar), on 2-5 December 2024. WISE is a class A conference that has consistently consolidated its position over the years, as among the top conferences in the research areas around the Web, Data and Knowledge Management, and Information Systems.
WISE-2024 promises to be a special edition, as it will offer a rich scientific program involving special tracks on important and trendy research topics, demos, a PhD symposium for the junior scholars, workshops, as well as thought-provoking keynotes by high-profile researchers from top universities and corporations such as Microsoft, Google, Meta and an industrial exhibition on the Web to celebrate this 25th anniversary.

Calls for Workshops
WISE 2024 welcomes all workshop proposal submissions that fall in the domain of Web, information systems, data analytics, AI, and knowledge and data engineering. The decision on acceptance/rejection of workshop proposals will be made on the basis of the overall quality of the proposal, its appeal to a viable fraction of the Web community as well as how it fits in with the conference.

Scope
We welcome special track proposals in the broad area of the Web, Data and knowledge management, and Information systems. Please refer to the conference webpage www.wise2024-qatar.com for examples of relevant topics.

Deadlines for Workshops
• Workshop Proposal Submission Due: March 15, 2024 
• Workshop Notification of Acceptance: March 30, 2024 
• Call for Workshop Paper Release: April 5, 2024 
• Paper Submission Deadline: July 15, 2024 
• Notification of Acceptance: August 30, 2024 
• Camera-Ready Submission: September 07, 2024.

Workshops Submission Guidelines:
Submissions should be made by e-mail in PDF format with the subject title “WISE 2024 Workshop Proposal”. Workshop proposals should include the following information:
• Title of the workshop
• Names and addresses of the organizers, and a designated contact person
• Brief description of the workshop, including abstract, objectives, relevance, and expected outcome
• Tentative program committee members and speakers etc., if applicable
• Description of the plans for the workshop (e.g., program, keynotes, highlights, etc.)
• Expected number of attendees and the expected length of the workshop (half-day, whole day)
• Brief description of past versions of the workshop, if applicable, including dates, organizers, sites, and any other relevant information
Workshop proposals in PDF should be e-mailed to the following email address: wise.conf.2024 at gmail.com . The Workshops co-chairs should be CC’ed.
