Dear all,

Hoping to do something pleasant, we point out the

Emerging Research Track at ICPE 2024
https://icpe2024.spec.org/tracks-and-submissions/emerging-research-track/

The complexity of systems and their context poses new challenges.
In this track, we hope to collect "visionary" works and new ideas even
at a preliminary stage. "Work-in-progress" are also welcome.

Submissions must not exceed 6 pages; the deadline is January 26, 2024.

ICPE Emerging Research Track
============================

With the growing impact of information technology in all aspects of
real life and society, it is crucial to understand the new demands
and the needs of the complexity of systems. The emerging research
track offers the opportunity to present new ideas and visions even in
their early stage. The track welcomes position and idea papers on
emerging research challenges. Authors can also present and discuss
preliminary results from their latest research and obtain early
feedback from the research community. Correspondingly, the track
distinguishes two paper types:

1) Position / Vision / Idea papers are invited to submit positions on
emerging research topics or visions and ideas that have yet to
progress to a work-in-progress stage. Besides basic technical
correctness, the submissions will be reviewed for their potential
to motivate future research and stimulate debate on the existing
research challenges. The authors should clearly present the
research questions and their rationale, sketching possible
   approaches to their resolution.

The Position / Vision / Idea papers must carry a respective
“(… Paper)” notice in their title and should not exceed 6 pages.

2) Work In Progress papers should present preliminary research
results that may not have been entirely validated. The work should
be advanced enough to allow attendees to appreciate the scope and
significance. As with standard research submissions, papers will
be reviewed for novelty, relevance, technical quality and
scientific soundness, but the review criteria will be relaxed to
reflect the preliminary nature of the work - submissions with
still open research issues or currently limited evaluation are all
welcome. The authors are encouraged to list the open issues in
   their submissions explicitly.

Work In Progress papers must carry a “(Work In Progress Paper)”
notice in their title and should not exceed 6 pages.

The submission deadlines are listed on the Important Dates page:
https://icpe2024.spec.org/important-dates/

Submissions must be appropriately anonymized for the double-blind
submission process. Please see the Double Blind FAQ for more details:
https://icpe2024.spec.org/double-blind/

Submissions are made via EasyChair:
  https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icpe2024
and must be in the standard ACM format for conference proceedings.

More specifically, the double column formats have to be used for all
paper submissions: Latex preferred, Word. Papers must be within the
page limit for the relevant paper type, which includes figures and
tables but not references and appendices. The accepted papers'
camera-ready version may use up to 1 extra page to remove
anonymization and address potential shepherding comments but may not
add significant non-reviewed content.

Papers submitted in this track will be reviewed by the Program
Committee of the Research Track and they will be published in the
companion to the ICPE proceedings.
