      SWARMS of UAVs 2022
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hammamet, Tunisia, September 28th - 30th 2022

Website: https://iccci.pwr.edu.pl/2022/session.php?acronym=SUAV
============================================

You are cordially invited to submit your contribution until April 15th, 2022

This special session will be held during ICCCI 2022, the 14th International Conference on Computational Collective Intelligence (rank B in Core).

** Objectives and topics **
-----------------------------------

From theoretical models to deployment of real drones, UAV swarms have witnessed a growing interest last two decades. In the context of this special session, a swarm is considered as a set of autonomous machines presenting a collective behavior without relying on any centralized mechanism. This meeting aims at offering a forum for specialists or new comers to this domain. Measuring the distance that may exist between theory and practical experiments, and opening the discussion about potential solutions for reducing it is one of the objectives of this session. Researches at any maturity level as well as emerging new ideas or ongoing works from theoretical models to existing hardware solutions for enabling UAVs to fly as swarms are welcome. More generally, topics of interest for SUAV 2022 include (but are not limited to) the following topics :

— Theoretical Models (e.g. Look-Compute-Move)
— Distributed Algorithms
— Cooperation versus Competition
— Bio-Inspired Approaches
— Communication issues
— Optimization, Robustness, Fault Tolerance and Resilience
— Simulations
— Pattern Formation
— Environment Perception
— Technological Hardware/Software Solutions and Platforms
— Applications

** Submission **
----------------------

All contributions should be original and not published elsewhere or intended to be published during the review period. Authors are invited to submit their papers electronically in pdf format, through EasyChair. All the special sessions are centralized as tracks in the same conference management system as the regular papers. Therefore, to submit a paper please activate the following link and select the track : SUAV 2022: Special Session on Swarms of UAVs.

Authors are invited to submit original previously unpublished research papers written in English, of up to ** 13 pages**, strictly following the LNCS/LNAI format guidelines.
Authors can download the Latex (recommended) or Word templates available at Springer’s web site. Submissions not following the format guidelines will be rejected without review. To ensure high quality, all papers will be thoroughly reviewed by the SUAV 2022 Program Committee. All accepted papers must be presented by one of the authors who must register for the conference and pay the fee. The conference proceedings will be published by Springer in the prestigious series LNCS/LNAI (indexed by ISI CPCI-S, included in ISI Web of Science, EI, ACM Digital Library, dblp, Google Scholar, Scopus, etc.).

**Special Issue **
