Log in steps

  1. I logged on to my gl account, just like normal. (Normal gl user id and gl password.)
  2. I started the logon to the oracle computer, with rlogin dbs1.gl.umbc.edu . (Normal gl user id and gl password.)
  3. I connected to dbs1 and it was then just like logging on to the gl account. (Used normal gl userid for both the user-name and password.)

The following is what I did to get into Oracle:

dbs1[2]% source /opt/bin/oracle_cshrc
dbs1[3]% sqlplus
