The sole purpose of this Project is to test your ability to submit
projects. You don't have to do this project - and will get no
credit for doing it. If you don't do it and later have trouble
submitting a for-credit project, no mercy!
Your task is to submit a small file. If you can do it, relax.
If you can't do it, please email me
abaumg1@cs.umbc.edu from
your gl account. Tell me what went wrong.
I anticipate that there will be problems with submit during the
first few days of classes. If you experience a problem, wait a day
or so and try again. Please do not email me about any problems before
Friday, February 5.
Here's how to submit a small file.
- Choose a filename that does not exist on your gl account.
Let's say it's
Proj0.foo
- Create an empty file of that name by doing:
touch Proj0.foo
- Submit that file by doing:
submit cs341-01 Proj0 Proj0.foo
or
submit cs341-02 Proj0 Proj0.foo
depending on section number.
You should get a friendly message stating that the file was submitted ok.
