Directions to UMBC from I-95

UMBC is located just outside the the southern edge of Baltimore. More specifically, it is just to the west of I95 and to the south of the beltway around Baltimore (695).

From the south (e.g. from Washington)

If you are driving north on I-95 (e.g., from Washington) take the BWI/Catonsville exit (47 A/B). (You've missed it and gone too far if you get to the beltway (695)). This exit (47 A/B) forks into a road going to BWI and a road going to Catonsville. Take the fork going to Catonsville and then take the exit marked UMBC (47B).

From the north (e.g., from Philadelphia)

Stay on I-95 through Baltimore, through the tunnel, and out past the beltway (695). Take the first exit to the south of the beltway, 47A/B, which is also labeled "BWI/Catonsville". Take the fork for 47B, also labeled Catonsville/195 West. This brings you to I-195 W. Within 1/4 mile there is an exit off 195 labeled UMBC. Follow this another 1/4 mile until you come to a stop sign at "loop road" which circles the campus.
